Sometimes life is hard and we feel defeated, hopeless. But life is what you make of it and you can choose what you see – positive or negative, darkness or light. A wise woman once told me that you travel in the direction you are looking, whether that’s the power lines you’re focused on as you skydive out of an airplane, or the open field where you land safely. Your mind is the same. If you choose to see the positive, the light, the silver lining, then that will be what you notice as you walk through the shadows. The choice is yours. Why not choose to step into a universe of light, where all good occurs? Some people refer to it as positive thinking, the secret, etc. I choose to see it as quantum physics. There are an infinite number of possible outcomes for every situation. If we look for the worst case scenario in every situation, then that is what we are more likely to see. However, if we look for the best possible outcome, then even during difficult times, we are more likely to see the silver linings. So, to focus your mind, picture yourself stepping over a threshold, leaving behind the problems, the darkness, and stepping into a new reality, another universe, one filled with love and light, where all good comes to you.

This is what I told my brother one night as he struggled with the pain of loss, the depression of divorce. As I was talking, he said, “Wait. I want to write this down.” So, I waited, and then we continued on with our conversation, ending it with, “I love you. Don’t worry. It will all be ok. Just step into a universe where everything works out for you.”

The next day, he called me up and asked me to listen to a song he wrote… and that’s how Leap came to be. Within two weeks, Josh’s life turned around - an agreement was reached, a buyer was found for his house, a place was secured for him to live, a new position was achieved at work, and a music video was born.
